The Silk Peel Dermal Infusion differs from other micro dermabrasion treatments in that it exfoliates and infuses acne specific dermaceuticals that have been shown to clear and refresh the skin. It therefore simultaneously exfoliates and introduces medication to the tissues.
Acne Scar Management
For established acne and other forms of scarring of the skin, the Palomar Fractional Lux 1540 achieves outstanding results. Fractional microbeams of laser energy deliver the pulse in a pin-cushion fashion leaving tiny islands of normal skin between each focus of powerful energy. The Lux 1540 handpiece achieves its results in a series of treatments, ideally at 4-6 week intervals.
The Lux 1540 delivery system penetrates deeper than other available Fractionated laser systems resulting in more widespread and therefore more effective coagulation of the epidermis and underlying dermis with subsequence tightening that smoothes the overlying skin and improves the texture and quality of the surface.
